1.The female lead of Shahid’s film Chance Pe Dance was initially going to Jiah Khan but Shahid asked the director to replace Jiah Khan with Genelia D Souza.
2.He is the first Indian actor to fly the American F-16 aircraft, during the filming of his film Mausam.
3.Shahid had received his first Bollywood break for “Chura Ke Dil Kahan Chale” which was supposed to be produced by famous Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas. But the film never took off.
4.In 2009, he won PETA India’s “Sexiest Vegetarian” contest.
